Perchloroethylene Detection Tubes 2/a (2 - 300 ppm)

For short-term measurements more than 160 Draeger-Tubes are available to measure the spot concentrations of specific gases. Measurement usually takes between 4 seconds and 15 minutes. The tubes are used either manually with the Draeger-Tube Accuro Pump or automatically with the Draeger X-act 5000.

A wide range of different gases and vapors can be detected and measured, such as:

  • Determining and measuring concentration peaks
  • Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area
  • Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc.
  • Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces

Perchloroethylene Detection Tubes 2/a (2 - 300 ppm)

Standard Measuring Range: 20 to 300 ppm / 2 to 40 ppm
Number of strokes n: 1 / 5
Time for Measurement: approx. 30 sec / approx. 3 min
Standard Deviation: 15 to 20 %
Color Change: slightly greenish ??> grey blue
Temperature: 15 to 30 C
Absolute Humidity: < 25 mg H2O / L
Reaction Principle: a) CCl2=CCl2 + MnO4- ??> Cl2
b) Cl2 + Diphenylbenzidine ??> gray blue reaction product
At higher concentrations there may be created a reddish area at the beginning of the indicating layer.
Cross Sensitivity: Other chlorinated hydrocarbons, free halogens and hydrogen halides are also indicated. Petroleum hydrocarbon vapors result in a shortened reading once they exceed the following concentrations: 50 ppm with 5 strokes or 500 ppm with 1 strokes
