The ThreatID: Portable FTIR Multi-threat Identification.
Portable FTIR device that provides identification of solids, powders, liquids, gases, and mixtures. Identify tens of thousands of emerging chemical threats in the field.
Rapidly detect and identify more than 28,600 unknown gas/vapor, powder/liquid chemical threats, and mixtures with a single, portable FTIR tool. When dealing with complex mixture samples, utilize the ThreatAssist database for further analysis on chemical compounds.
ThreatID requires no calibration or configuration when changing between gas/vapor and liquid/powder sampling modules. The rugged diamond sample interfaces provide reliable measurement in harsh environments while the interactive, on-screen prompts guide users through the sampling process, step by step.
Unit must be ordered with at least one module to operate. Choose from a 4 Meter Gas Cell Module, a Liquids/Solids module, or both modules.

ThreatID Gas Module
Gases present the greatest danger, but until now there have been few easy-to-use techniques to identify them with chemical analyzers. Only about 1mL of headspace from volatile liquids is needed to collect a good identification sample. When there is a gas leak that doesn’t have a liquid source or isn’t visible, one would need to collect up to 500mL of sample.
Gas Module Features:

ThreatID Powders/Liquids Module
The powders and liquids module of the ThreatID allows for an incredibly easy method for analyzing a wide array of samples. The sensor is a rugged diamond plate; impervious to attack by chemicals. The sensor’s strength allows the user to crush solids for analysis using the integrated press. Liquids are even easier and do not require any pressure. Simply place the liquid on the sensor. The sensor is also very resistant to chemical attacks and can run samples of any pH without degradation of the sensor.
