XplorIR Handheld Gas Identification System

The XplorIR from 908 Devices is an innovative FTIR gas detector that can detect and identify over 5,500 of gases in seconds. The XplorIR can identify chemicals at low PPM concentrations with no sample preparation and give rapid answers in less that 30 seconds. No sample prep is required and no consumables are necessary.

Continuous, automatic detection of gases and vapors in real time and immediate access to results are provided in the new Team Leader App. The app allows current XplorIR results to be accessible from anywhere. With real-time GPS location, access to proprietary threat database, and 24/7 access to Reachback, the Team Leader app provides powerful wireless connectivity. Supervisors can review results in real time via the cloud-based Team Leader App.

The XplorIR adds additional functionality when paired with a PID gas detector. Photo-Ionization detectors (PIDs) respond to hundreds of compounds; however, the quantity displayed is only accurate for the gas for which it is calibrated. By identifying the sample with XplorIR, the correction factor for the specific gas present can be used on the PID, thus providing accurate concentration measurement. The combination of the identify provided by the XplorIR and the corrected concentration provided by the PID gives response team members the information required to make critical decisions.
