Hydrochloric Acid Detection Tubes 1/a (0.5 - 100 ppm)
For short-term measurements more than 160 Draeger Tubes are available to measure the so called spot concentrations of specific gases.
A wide range of different gases and vapours can be detected and measured, such as:
- Determining and measuring concentration peaks
- Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area
- Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc.
- Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces
|Standard Measuring Range:

|Number of Strokes (n):
|Time for Measurement:
||approx. 2 min
||±10 to 15 %

||5 to 40° C
||max. 15 mg H2O / L
||HCl + Bromophenol blue ──> yellow reaction product
||Hydrogen sulfide and sulfur dioxide in the TLV range do not interfere. It is impossible to measure hydrochloric acid in the presence of other mineral acids. Chlorine and nitrogen dioxide are indicated, but with different sensitivities.
