Vinyl Chloride Detection Tubes (0.25 to 70 ppm)
Gastec Detection Tube No. 131LB measures Vinyl Chloride with a Range of 0.25 to 70 ppm.
- Measuring Range:
- 0.25 to 1 ppm
- 1 to 20 ppm
- 20 to 70 ppm

- Correction Factor: 1/4, 1, 3.5
- Sampling Time: 1.5 minutes per pump stroke
- Detecting Limit: 0.05 ppm (4 pump strokes)
- Color Change: Yellow to purple
- Corrections for temperature & humidity: Temperature correction is necessary
- 2 Year Shelf Life (in the refrigerator)
- Relative Standard Deviation: 10 % (for 1 to 5 ppm), 5 % (for 5 to 20 ppm)
- Store the tubes in the refrigerator to keep at 10ºC (50ºF) or below.
- Reaction Principle:
- CH2:CHCl + PbO2 + H2SO4 → HCl
- HCl + Base → Chloride
