Fire Cloak 12 m x 9 m XL EV Battery Fire Blanket
Developed through extensive research and innovation, the Fire Cloak USA Extra Large EV Car Fire Blanket is designed to effectively contain fires in smaller electric and hybrid vehicles.
One of the most common causes of fire in these vehicles is damage to the high-energy battery or a manufacturing defect that leads to a short circuit. This can trigger thermal runaway, a dangerous phenomenon in which compromised battery cells rapidly overheat, sparking a fire. As the blaze spreads, nearby cells are affected, creating a domino effect that engulfs the entire battery system.
Lithium-ion batteries contain electrolytes with hydrocarbon solvents, which act as fuel for the fire. If left uncontrolled, this can result in extremely high temperatures. Deploying an EV Car Fire Blanket helps suppress combustion by cutting off oxygen supply, significantly reducing fire intensity and temperature. This containment strategy helps minimize damage to nearby vehicles and property.
The XL EV Car Fire Blanket is designed for quick and easy deployment by two people and comes with a protective storage bag for convenient handling and transport.
