Fire Cloak 4 m x 3 m Li-Ion Battery Fire Blanket
Developed through extensive research and innovation, the Fire Cloak USA EV Car Fire Blanket is designed to effectively contain Li-Ion battery fires. It's thick fabric and high temperature rating allows the fire blanket to be put directly on a battery pack.
One of the most common causes of Li-Ion battery fires is damage to the high-energy battery or a manufacturing defect that leads to a short circuit. This can trigger thermal runaway, a dangerous phenomenon in which compromised battery cells rapidly overheat, sparking a fire. As the blaze spreads, nearby cells are affected, creating a domino effect that engulfs the entire battery system.
Lithium-ion batteries contain electrolytes with hydrocarbon solvents, which act as fuel for the fire. If left uncontrolled, this can result in extremely high temperatures. Deploying this fire blanket helps suppress combustion by cutting off oxygen supply, significantly reducing fire intensity and temperature. This containment strategy helps minimize damage to nearby vehicles and property.
The Li-Ion Fire Blanket is designed for quick and easy deployment by two people and comes with a protective storage bag for convenient handling and transport.
