Benzene Detection Tubes 0.25/a (0.25 - 10 ppm)

For short-term measurements more than 160 Draeger-Tubes are available to measure the so-called spot concentrations of specific gases. A wide range of different gases and vapours can be detected and measured, e.g.: Determining and measuring concentration peaks, Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area, Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc., and Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces.

Contains 10 tubes

Standard Measuring Range0.25 to 10 ppm
Number of Strokes (n)10 to 2
Time for Measurementmax 15 min.
Standard Deviation ±30 %
Colour Changewhite ─> pale brown
Temperature10 to 40° C
Absolute Humidity3 to 15 mg H2O / L
Reaction Principle2 C6H6 + HCHO ─> C6H5-CH2-C6H5 + H20
C6H5-CH2-C6H5 _ H2SO4 ─> p-chinoid compound
Cross SensitivityOther aromatics (toluene, xylene, ethyl
benzene) are indicated as well. It is impossible
to measure benzene in the presence of these
aromatics. Petroleum hydrocarbons, alcohols
and esters do not affect the indication.
Additional InformationBefore performing the measurement the
ampoule must be broken and the liquid
transferred onto the indicating layer so that it
is completely saturated.
