Ammonia Detection Tubes 5/b (2.5 - 100 ppm)
Drager Short-term Tubes have proven to be a very cost-effective and reliable method for the measurement of gases.
For short-term measurements more than 160 Drager-Tubes are available to measure the so-called spot concentrations of specific gases. Measurement usually takes between 4 seconds and 15 minutes. The tubes are used either manually with the Drager-Tube pump accuro or automatically with the Drager X-act 5000.
A wide range of different gases and vapours can be detected and measured, e.g.: Determining and measuring concentration peaks, Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area, Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc., and Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces.
|Standard Measuring Range:
||5 to 100 ppm
|Number of Strokes (n):
|Time for Measurement:
||approx. 10 sec.
||±10 to 15 %
||yellow ─> blue
||10 to 50° C
||< 20 mg H2O / L
||NH3 + pH Indicator ─> blue reaction
||Other basic substances such as e.g. organic amines are indicated as well.
This indication is not affected by:
- 300 ppm nitrous fumes
- 2,000 ppm sulfur dioxide
- 2,000 ppm hydrogen sulfide
|Extension of the Measuring Range:
||Using n=2 stroke, multiply the reading by 2; the measuring range will be 2.5 to 50 ppm.
